We provide professional services for measuring sky glow and modeling its impact from new developments, community growth, and lighting changes — helping communities and planners make informed decisions about the night sky.
We are also the team behind the EONS (Eyes on Night Skies) project, a national network monitoring sky brightness across the US.

SKYGLOW MEASUREMENT
SKYGLOW MODELING
Dark Sky Partners offers assistance in the development of outdoor lighting codes to help assure technical accuracy, enforceability, and effectiveness.
Dark Sky Partners offers measurement of artificial skyglow using state-of-the-art CCD imaging in visual (507–595 nm) and blue (398–492 nm) spectral bands. Measurements can be performed as frequently as 5x per hour and cover the entire sky and landscape down to −5° altitude.
Dark Sky Partners offers analysis of the skyglow impacts of existing or proposed outdoor lighting installations, as well as the effects of different lighting regulations or mitigation strategies.
